Philodendron Tortum
The Philodendron Tortum is another example of why Philodendrons are so fun to grow! This plant features an elongated serrated leaf that fans out from the main stem. It is an easy-to-grow house plant that can become large over time.
This plant enjoys moderate to bright indirect light. It will tolerate lower light conditions as well. If it receives a couple of hours of bright direct morning light that is fine but too much direct bright light will scorch the foliage.
Water
We recommend allowing the soil to nearly completely dry out between waterings. Signs of it needing more water are drooping leaves. Signs of needing to be watered more often are drooping leaves and browning tips. You can tell if you are overwatering by the leaves yellowing and dropping. Overwatering will eventually lead to root rot which is never fun.
Care
This is an easy to care for plant. We recommend fertilizing once a month in spring through summer with a diluted general house plant fertilizer. The Philodendron enjoys higher levels of humidity but will tolerate normal household humidity and even dryer than normal humidity levels. It wouldn't hurt to mist this plant occasionally though. To propagate this beauty simply take stem cuttings and place them in water or soil and it will easily root. We like to rotate this plant about once a month to promote even growth. Wiping down the leaves monthly will help with photosynthesis and keep the leaves nice and glossy.

In the event an item is damaged during shipment, a return or replacement will be offered. During this return process the customer will be required to submit pictures of the damaged item for review.
There is a five day "New Home" adjustment period is standard with all plant purchases. This period begins at the time of purchase and covers plants that have received "reasonable" care. Accidental death, heat damage, over watering, under watering, etc is not covered
